The region is abundant in historical landmarks. Within just a few kilometers, there are two medieval castles.

Margečan, the valley of the Bednja River, and the Ivanščica mountain offer plenty of natural attractions such as the Šumi waterfalls.

Enjoy local events such as Margaretje in Margečan or the rich events organized by the City of Ivanec. 

Riding a bike around our area is a real pleasure. We recommend cycling from Margečan to the castles in Beli or from Margečan to Ivanec.

This region is rich in freshwater fish. As popular fishing locations, we recommend the Bednja River and the lakes in Ivanci where there is also a fishing lodge.

The mountain Ivanščica and its slopes offer many excellent hiking trails. The trails range in difficulty from easy to very challenging.
