Ivanec Bays
Ivanec ponds were formed by the collapse of mining pits. Today, they are a popular fishing spot visited by fishing enthusiasts from the country and abroad. Next to the ponds, the Ivanec Fishing Association has built a fishing lodge with a capacity of 60 seats and 200 seats on the outdoor covered terrace.
The Ivanec region is rich in freshwater fish. The Ivanec Fishing Association manages the waters in this area. They have jurisdiction over the Bednja River from the source to Završje, a part of the Plitvice River, the entire course of the Bistrica River, all Ivanec ponds and lakes, as well as ponds in Cerje and Brodarevac.
In this area, you can fish for carp, grass carp, pike, zander, tench, chub, roach, crucian carp, catfish, trout perch, and other fish.
