Margečan

Margečan is a settlement within the city of Ivanec in Varaždin County. Today, around 400 residents live in the village. The parish church of Saint Margaret is first mentioned in 1431, although it is likely older than that year. The church is an important part of the local history and culture.

In the village, there is an active association called Margareta, the Margečan Volunteer Fire Department, and the football club NK Mladost Margečan. Children from Margečan attend the Margečan Branch School, where classes are held for students from 1st to 4th grade.
