Mount Ivanščica 1060m
The mountain Ivanščica, at its 1060 meters, is the highest mountain of Croatian Zagorje and northwestern Croatia. It stretches in a west-east direction for 27 km, and is up to 9 km wide. It is a very popular hiking destination that attracts more and more hikers. Its large expanses of forests, beautiful mountain meadows, and streams make it special. From the top, the view extends to Croatian Zagorje to Medvednica, and on a clear day all the way to the Slovenian and Austrian Alps. From the northern side, towards Ivanec, Varaždin, Međimurje, Podravina, Slovenia, and all the way to Lake Balaton in Hungary, the views are beautiful.
At the top of Ivanščica, there is the Mountaineering Lodge Pasarićeva kuća. The lodge is open on weekends, holidays, and by appointment. It offers drinks and food. The lodge is managed by HPD Ivančica Ivanec. The contact person is Dejan Levačić 095/86-25-504, levacicdejan@gmail.com
